WW2 German Dog Tag (Erkennungsmarke) – O.K.W. (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht – Bendlerblock, Berlin)
A sought-after WWII German military identity disc (Erkennungsmarke) stamped directly to the High Command of the Armed Forces (Oberkommando der Wehrmacht). This exceptionally rare style of tag is directly tied to the historic Bendlerblock headquarters complex in Berlin. These were issued to staff officers, administrative personnel, guards, and high-level communications operators stationed inside the Bendlerblock in Berlin. This site served as the nerve center for Germany s wartime strategy and is famously renowned as the headquarters for General Friedrich Fromm and Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg's July 20, 1944 assassination plot.
